About the Agency

The Community Development Agency is responsible for providing services in the area of economic development, job training, housing, neighborhood improvement and downtown development. The Agency plans, develops and administers programs to accomplish the public policy goals of the Santa Ana City Council, Santa Ana Housing Authority and Work Force Investment Board.

Economic Development

Santa Ana has separate and unique sections within the City offering a multitude of diverse benefits and incentives to its businesses.

Housing authority

The Santa Ana Housing Authority provides rental assistance through the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to low income families.

Housing development

Our Housing Department works to assure the quality and economic viability of residential neighborhoods and housing stock within the City.

Neighborhood Improvement

The City of Santa Ana work with the community leaders from neighborhoods, community based organizations and service clubs.

Successor Agency/
Oversight Board

The Oversight Board has fiduciary responsibilities to holders of enforceable obligations and to the taxing entities that benefit from distribution of property tax and other revenue {California Health & Safety Code Section 34179 (a) (10) (i)}.

WORK Center

Santa Ana's One-Stop Center offers a range of services associated with employment, job training and counseling for adults and youths.

Station District

The development of an affordable housing prject, located in the 94-acre Station District, which will enhance the Lacy Neighborhood and support the transit vision for the area.

Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 pm.

Emergency Solution Grant (ESG)

The ESG program provides funding to non-profits to offer services to homeless persons and to persons at imminent risk of losing their own housing due to eviction, foreclosure, or utility shutoffs.
