Youth Health Ambassadors
The TeenSpace Youth Health Ambassadors have created seven “Small Steps to Healthy Living” videos. In these brief seven videos, the teens educate their local community about different actions the public can take to live a healthier life. Whether by eating whole foods, drinking water, taking the stairs instead of riding an elevator, eating fruits, stretching, eating healthy meat choices, or learning how to read food nutrition labels, these teens want to make a difference. In addition, the teens are working on a documentary to bring public awareness about the three most commonly fatal diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. All of these videos have allowed the teens at the TeenSpace to learn about the processes involved in video production and screenwriting while informing their community about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.
