Surplus Items FAQ

Surplus items may include, but are not limited to: vehicles, office furniture and machines, computers, and other miscellaneous goods. Auctioned vehicles may include street sweepers, crane trucks, fire trucks, paramedic vans, and any other type of specialty equipment.

WHERE ARE SURPLUS AUCTIONS HELD?
The auctions for both vehicles and surplus are held at the same location. Auctions Plus 13631 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, or 2321 Cherry Avenue, El Toro, CA. For directions and hours of operation call, 714-539-1297.

WHO CAN BID ON THE SURPLUS ITEMS?
Any registered bidder over 18 years of age may bid at the auction.

WHEN CAN I SEE THE SURPLUS ITEMS AUCTIONED?
Bidders may view the items two hours before the auction begins.

IF I WANT TO BID ON A VEHICLE, CAN I DRIVE IT BEFORE I BID ON IT?
No. Due to insurance regulations, bidders are not permitted to drive the vehicles.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR EXCHANGE ON THE BID ITEM?
No. All items are sold as is. All sales are final.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
Payment is due at final sale. Acceptable forms of payment are cash and credit cards including pre-approved loans. Personal checks are not accepted. Major credit cards accepted include: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.

HOW DO I REGISTER TO BID?
Bidders must register at the auction office before or anytime during the auction. All bidders must be over 18.

DOES IT COST ME ANYTHING TO REGISTER?
There is no fee to register. However there is a buyer premium which is 15% of the selling price of the item.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS IF I WIN THE BID?
Winning bid have 24 hours to pay and pick up the item.

CAN I PHONE IN TO BID?
Phone bids are not accepted.

CAN I SEND A REPRESENTATIVE WITH MY BID?
Yes representatives are permitted. Although because of the bidding process it's recommended that the primary interested party attend.
