In honor of all veterans and in recognition of their service, the Santa Ana Public Library will be preparing a video of pictures of city employees and family members who were or are in the military. Fathers, sons, daughters, mothers, wives, husbands from our city staff and the Santa Ana community are invited to participate. The video containing the photos will be available for viewing during Veteran’s day week through the Santa Ana Public Library Veterans page and through the city public television channel.

Winner of the NY Loves Film Best Documentary Award at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, When I Came Home follows Herold Noel, an Iraq war veteran who becomes homeless in New York City after returning from combat with PTSD. The screening will be accompanied by presentations with Phil Bowers and Dana Fagan (from Volunteers of America) and Andrew Jackson and Fernando del Villar (from the US Department of Veterans Affair).

The Forgotten Eagles, tells the story of the legendary "Aztec Eagles" of the Mexican Expeditionary Air Force, who flew with the American 58th Fighter Group on Luzon in 1945. The film was produced by 201 Productions, Executive Producers Roger and Felicity Marrs and Producer/Director, Victor Mancilla, who has made this screening possible.
