Join the Friends
The Friends of the Library is a volunteer, non-profit support group that believes in the importance of the Santa Ana Public Library's services to the community. They stimulate awareness and use of the library as well as public support of our Library. The Friends raise funds through book sales and membership dues. They also encourage monetary donations and gifts.
The proceeds from these activities are used to provide services and to buy materials not covered in the Library's budget.
Library activities supported by the many fundraising activities of the Friends include:
- Programs and educational activities for parents and children
- Santa Ana Heritage projects
- Purchase of books for special collections. The Library’s extensive Heritage Reference Collection, which celebrates ethnic diversity within the city, was started with Friends’ financial support.
- Programs and workshops for adults and teens
