Make Your Own Fantasy Dragon Workshop

On Wednesday, November 19, 2014, the Santa Ana Public Library hosted a Make Your Own Fantasy Dragon Workshop at the Garfield Community Center. With the guidance of fantasy artist, Janet Alvarez, participants learned how to make their own dragon sculptures from household or reusable items. The workshop was made possible by the Friends of the Santa Ana Public Library.

Buddy Program

The Teen Big Buddy program pairs teen (12-18) "Big Buddy" volunteers with elementary age (5-12) "Little Buddy" participants. "Big Buddies" mentor "Little Buddies" in a variety of "Buddy" programs.


Chess Program

Chess programs teach game rules, strategies, and techniques and provide skill development, practice games, and tournaments.


Photography Workshop

Local residents hone their photography skills and learn about the art of composition during a photography workshop.


Video Production Workshop

Garfield Community Center offers hands-on workshops in all aspects of digital filmmaking and media arts, from basic video production to advanced editing.
