IMPORTANT! Permit and plan check applications submitted on or after April 20, 2012 will be reviewed by the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA). Submittals for new construction will be accepted at the Planning and Building permit and plan check counter, and routed to OCFA for review. The Planning and Building Agency plays a critical role in achieving the City Council's goals for the physical development of the community.
The agency's objective is to provide a safe, attractive, and business-friendly community through implementing state and local construction codes, as well as planning and regulating future land uses.

The Planning Division consists of Current Planning, Regional and Advance Planning, and the Planning Counter. |
The Building Safety Division provides guidance for new construction, building permits and plan check, as well as inspections. |
Community Preservation / Code Enforcement Division
The Community Preservation Division is responsible for enforcement of property maintenance, zoning, building codes and other Municipal Codes within the City. |
