Planning Division
The Planning Division maintains the City’s General Plan and Zoning documents. Planning is also responsible for environmental review, historic preservation, and new development. Planning provides staff support to the City's Planning Commission, the Historic Resources Commission, and the City Council.
The Planning Division has three sections: Current Planning, Regional and Advanced Planning, and the Planning Counter. These sections work together with other City agencies to provide development services and long range planning to help the City achieve economic and social well-being.
