Impounded Vehicles & Post Storage Hearings

IMPOUNDED VEHICLES

A vehicle release must be obtained in person at the Santa Ana Police Department, Traffic Division.

The following is required:

  • The registered owner or their agent must be present with a VALID driver’s License.
  • If the registered owner does not possess a driver’s license, he/she must have a VALID California DMV Identification card.
  • Current registration for the impounded vehicle.
  • A fee to be paid in CASH only for the release of the vehicle.

Fees: $140.00 for a regular impound or storage;
$190.00 for a 30-day impound
