Graffiti Enforcement

The Community Preservation Division of the Planning and Building Agency enforces the removal of graffiti from private property and personal property.

Staff conducts graffiti enforcement citywide and addresses graffiti concerns reported by other agencies or residents.

Courtesy notices are given to property owners and/or businesses asking for their cooperation in removing graffiti from their premises. When property owners are unwilling or uncooperative, staff issues an Administrative Citation affording the property owners up to ten (10) days to comply. After due process measures have been exhausted, criminal complaints may be filed against unwilling or uncooperative property owners and/or businesses.
