The Santa Ana City Council is undertaking a strategic planning process to identify goals, projects and resource needs for the City during the next five years. An important aspect of this process is input from residents, employees, and other stakeholders about Santa Ana’s strengths, opportunities, limitations and threats as well as key priorities that the City Council should consider. In addition to the Community Forum held on August 10, in September the City hosted a total of four focus group meetings, two for community stakeholders and two for employees. Each focus group meeting was limited to 15 participants. The information garnered from both the Forum and the focus groups will be used to develop the community survey. These efforts are intended to enable broad participation from residents and stakeholders. The City Council, together with the City Manager and the executive team, will then be presented with all the input and will work to set priorities. Please see the City’s website for additional information and dates of upcoming steps in the strategic planning process.
